78rpm Home Recording Vinyl Disc Label Art from 1938

leave a comment »

From a customer’s Vinyl to CD Conversion, this is a 78rpm from 1938 where we the scanned the label art. It’s from a tiny recording studio Algene Sound & Radio Company in our home town of Philadelphia. This appears to be a metal-backed acetate record that has held up nicely over the years, with the noted exception of the surface dirt and mold.
