Designer’s Take Note: The Simplest Definition of Branding versus Identity

An Identity is a Logo, and sometimes a word, or a simple URL.

Think McDonald’s, Kleenex or Amazon.com

A Brand is not a logo, and it’s certainly not a URL. Those are the stimulus.

The Brand is the response.
